Office Astrology: What Does Your Sign Say About You in the Workplace?

Image
I'm no astronomer, but I know my way around an astrological wheel and have always enjoyed using the zodiac to better understand those around me. Here's a quick (and fun!) glimpse at what you might expect from your co-workers based on their birthdate. Helpful hint f or those of you born on a cusp as I was: check out both signs because you are probably a combination of both!  Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20) Like most firstborn children, those born under the first sign in the zodiac like to be the boss. Aries are fiery, strong, and fiercely independent. If you need to make a big sales pitch, send your Ram to do the job, because they won’t take no for an answer... and are probs more than willing to headbutt anyone who stands in their way. Taurus (Apr 21 - May 21): Bulls have an amazing work ethic (second only to goats) and know how to get the job done. If you can drag them away from the job site, you’ll also find that they are good conversationalists and know where all the best re...

The Future is Bright: What to Expect at a General Psychic Reading

Image
A Private General Psychic Reading works much the same way that a Private Mediumship Reading does in terms of my process or  how  I receive and interpret the information; the difference is  whom  I receive the intel from. During a mediumship reading, the information comes directly from your dearly departed (friends and fam in the Spirit World), with assistance provided by my trusted Spirit Guides and Angels. During a General Psychic Reading, which focuses on health, career and relationships, most of what I get comes from Spirit Guides and Angels. They may not give me the answer to  every  question about your past, present or future, but these messengers from the Spirit World always want what is best for you and they work very hard to provide me with information that will help you through tough times and with difficult decisions. As I explained in an earlier blog post, all mediums are psychic, but not all psychics are mediums. This is important to understan...

Tarot 101: It's in the Cards

Image
On my 18th birthday my parents got me a hope chest and an introductory tarot kit which included a deck of cards, a black cloth with the Celtic Cross layout printed on it, and a how-to book. 30-plus years ( and a gazillion readings ) later, I no longer use that first set, but it is safely tucked away amongst my other treasured mementos in the hope chest. Having graduated from amateur card reader to professional psychic medium, I no longer use any actual cards during readings, but what I learned from them has proven invaluable, and my Guides frequently use them as a tool to give me insight. More often than not, before a client even arrives for a reading, I will be shown the first and second cards that they would have drawn, which allows me to quickly understand what he or she might need guidance about or what our focus will be. When I began reading the cards all those years ago, I was eager to dive in but didn't have the foggiest idea of where to begin interpreting each card ind...

Ghosts - They're Just Like Us!

Image
People often ask how I can not   be afraid of the things that I see and hear in my line of work. For starters, I'm pretty sure that spending seventeen years teaching hormonal teenagers leaves one immune to many of the horrors in this life and the next. The main reason for my new-found lack of fear is, however, simply that I have come to find that the dead ( aside from being dead ) are just like us or, more accurately, just like themselves back in the day. While a person's intentions may change the longer they are in the Spirit World (they may own up to or show remorse for their not-so-stellar actions, for example ), they don't suddenly sprout wings and become an angel when they reach the Other Side. In other words, their basic personality does not change... and for a very good reason. If they were a tad gruff or salty when alive, for instance, but came through like Mary Poppins during a reading, YOU WOULDN'T RECOGNIZE THEM!? As a medium, I am thrilled when your sp...

Crystals 101: School of Rocks

Image
I like to think of crystals as pet rocks with a purpose. This makes me feel less crazy talking to them, which I believe is necessary when activating their energy or setting an intention  (humbly asking them to work their magic for you) . This post is for those of you who have ever considered adding crystals to your spiritual repertoire, only to become discouraged or overwhelmed, not knowing where to begin. There are Lord knows how many species of crystals out there, so I'm going to keep this as basic as I can and give you the lowdown on what I consider to be the most useful stones in terms of psychic protection, and then move on to some crystals with chakra balancing properties. A few words about size, shape and texture. Unless you are planning on making your crystals do double duty as a bookends or doorstops, this is one time in life where size does not matter. A pebble or palm-sized nugget can be just as useful as a five pound boulder. Tumbled ( smooth ), or raw ( r...

Astrology 101: Blame it on the Stars

Image
I am occasionally asked if I do "horoscope readings". I am far from an expert, so I do not, and I always refer clients to a professional astrologer for this. I have, however, always been intrigued by the subject and am one thousand percent certain that astrology influences each of us a a BIG way. I have had my natal chart done twice by professionals, and can tell you that I was born on June 22, which falls within the Cusp of Magic ( I consider what I do for a living to be pretty magical, no? ). Both my Sun and Rising signs are Cancer ( I'm a   total homebody...  loved being an SAHM for eight years and would rather "netflix and chill" than go out on the town ). My moon is in Aquarius ( this, added to the Gemini cusp explains my open-mindedness and sociability ). My Mercury is in Gemini ( hello, spazzy chatterbox! ), and my Venus is in Leo ( diehard romantic? ...have I mentioned that this is my third marriage? ). I believe everyone could benefit from studying ch...

Tuning In: A Quick Start Guide to "Taking it to the Next Level"

Image
Many of my clients ask how I came so far so quickly as a psychic medium, and (especially if they have had psychic or paranormal experiences), how they themselves can take it to the next level. My answer to the first question is always, " Hard work and dedication. Once I realized what was happening, I threw myself into it and never looked back ." I think the fact that I was a teacher, as were my Spirit Guides when they were here helped a lot as well. My answer to the second question is, " Hard work and dedication. While I believe that some people are born mediums (able to talk to dead people), I think that everyone has some degree of intuitive/psychic potential which can be developed in order to benefit themselves and/or others. " I cannot make you more psychic. I can, however, help you to understand how it all works and give you a starting point, along with some helpful hints and tools based on my own experience. How far you go, or what "level" you...
